Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Wichers'!! We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year!

Here are a few photos from the holidays taken with our new camera. We were able to capture quite a few of Finley's unique expressions with it. Enjoy!

Finley's First Concert

Finley has been enjoying the music of a local Seattle band called Recess Monkey for the past few months. They are a band comprised of 3 Seattle School teachers who sing kids music with a more adult style. They were playing a free concert at our local library, so we took Finley to go check them out. Here are some videos and pictures from this and other adventures from the past couple weeks. Enjoy!

Here's a cute video of Finley showing us her newly learned "Bye bye".

Here she is showing us how to blow kisses.

Anxiously waiting for the concert to start

Here's how Finley started out at the concert. A little unsure of the loud noises and kids dancing around.

She gradually warmed up to the music and at this point in the concert the band instructed the kids to pretend they were sleeping...well Finley needed to go make sure they were OK. She then needed to also make sure their sound monitor was working. We may have a future Roadie on our hands.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from the Wichers'! We had a great day watching the Macy's day parade with Finley, then gorging ourselves on Thanksgiving dinner. Finley especially liked the cranberries and mashed potatoes. Here are some photos and videos from the past week, including some from our great trip down to Seattle's pacific Science Center. Enjoy!

This is Finley's new favorite place in the house. She's thinks it's a stage for her to do dances, monologues, and acrobatic shows.

14 months

Finley turned 14 months old earlier this month and she continues to entertain her parents to no end. She is learning new words and getting more and more brave when it comes to climbing, running, and getting into stuff she shouldn't. Here are some new photos and video's.

Finley's first slam dunk. Such a proud moment for her dad.

Here's some video proof.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the Wichers' Family and Finley the duck!

Trip to the Pumpkin Farm

Last weekend we took Finley to her first Pumpkin Patch at a local inner-city farm in Lynnwood. She got to run through the muddy fields, pet baby chickens, miniature goats, feed ducks, and see some very tiny baby piglets. The weather was a bit dreary, but we all had a great time. Here are some pictures and videos.

Hilarious video of Finley trying to keep her balance on the muddy path of the pumpkin patch while getting used to her big pink boots

Gymboree

We've been taking Finley to our local Gymboree's open gym play time a couple times a week. There she gets to run around and climb all over the gym equipment and play with the various toys. She's getting braver and braver with each visit and it's fun to see her interact with the other kids too. Here are some photos and video's from our last visit.

Crazy shaking!!

We call this Finley's mini-Sue Sylvester look (Cheerleader coach from the TV show "Glee"). If you've seen the show you'll know exactly who we're talking about.

Here she is hunting down all the various shakers. Let's hope she can do this with all the clothes in her room when she's 13.

As an avid basketball fan and youth basketball coach, I'm not sure if I should be proud or concerned.

Finley's trip to Friday Harbor

Last weekend the Wichers' packed up and took a day trip up to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands. Finley got to take her first trip on a ferry. She loved it. She was fascinated by the life rings found on the railings of the Ferry. Finley walked around the ship quite a few times waving and smiling at the other passengers. She was quite a riot.

This week we took her to an open gym at our local Gymboree play center. She made a few new friends and ran around till she literally passed out from exhaustion. She was practicing her climbing, crawling, and balancing skills. She is getting more coordinated by the day. Enjoy the new pictures.

Our daughter the cone head. She loved this thing. She used it as a hat, a megaphone, and a mask. It was pretty entertaining.
